It takes a Village to save a Village.
The closure of local businesses to combat the spread of Covid-19 has hit the historic Village, home to Toronto's LGBTQ2S+ community, very hard. To make matters worse, this year's Pride event has been cancelled. This annual, month long celebration is one that local businesses, artists, and wage tip earners rely on heavily for their livelihoods. This is why Friendly Stranger has called on Canada's Queens to help us and Glad Day Lit raise funds for the members of the Village community who are currently out of work.
